Allotment
Together with a neighbour, I took over a very overgrown 6.5 rod plot in 2008. After a hard winters work we were up and running the following spring and have been happily growing ever since, despite being on clay and at the bottom of a slope. I then shared the plot with another friend before embarking solo! At times I have also had a share of the next door plot too. Somehow, the allotment judges have awarded the plot best newcomer and first prize in 2009, third prize in 2010 and first prize in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
